People have been asking it from my other post back then so here it is.
UPDATE: Just clarified stuff.
Caramelldansen is that strangely addicting video loop featuring two popotan characters doing some dance. It’s actually the audio that’s strangely addicting though. Since then, people have been making spinoffs to the original, featuring other characters with the same music loop.
The template is a flash file, (.fla) which is used in Adobe Flash (note, not .swf it’s .FLA.) I’ve added the audio loop there, and if i recall, a few instructions on how to do it.
Basically, one would need either:
- A .gif of a spinoff caramelldansen; or
- l33t drawing skillz. well, not actually.
- Importantly, i forgot that of course, you’d need Macromedia Flash MX (or better, like the updated Adobe Flash Professional CS3) to make this. One can not make SWF files without these.
Just draw in, or put the gif in the flash for a couple of frames and the audio should loop well.
You can also export the audio from the flash file if you wish, and feel free to spread it around if you want to do so, just credit it to me cause i ripped the audio off no. not my style, just go ahead.
In case you missed it, here’s the link Caramelldansen Template (Megaupload)

It appears that you don’t have Adobe Flash CS3.
And no, Flash Player and Flash CS3 are not the same.
Ah, I’m using Macromedia Flash 8 to make the flashes, so would that be the problem then? D:
disregard that, didn’t reread the post
Hm. So there’s no other way than to update flash then, right? bweh
@jerieljan, ok, I have a question to ask you, could you Email me and tell me exactly how I do this caramelldansen thing with flash, I’m making my own seires, and thought it would be fun to do that with all my characters, please tell me how, and I’m still really new with adobe flash CS3, so could you explain in high detail, thanx, heres my Email: Asskickulater@gmail.com
please help me out with this, you seem to know what your doing
IIRC CS3 had the option to save .fla so they are compatible with Flash 8. Can someone post that version?
That is exactly what I posted above. That megaupload download is a .fla file.
I’m using Flash 8, but it’s still saying ‘Unexpected File Format’. Any suggestions?
I LOVE THIS BUT I DON;T HAVE BASIC IN FLASH..
I WANT TO COMBINE IT WITH HARE HARE DANCE..
