As the name suggests, its a category for posts wherein that the topic is either too vague or too general that I can’t even place it in its proper place. Or something like that.

I’ve had this thing up for ages just for the convenience of my IRL friends, so, I guess it’s alright to put it here.

This here is my FTP. Call it a repository of files I’m willing to share. Although really, it’s just the 1TB drive of this computer where I’m typing right now. Feel free to add files as the permissions are set for public (although you can’t do so on select folders, such as my Music folder). Right now, I wouldn’t say that it’s worth much, although I do have some rare stuff on the Internet.

ftp://beatoriche.doesntexist.com <– yes, I had that name in mind thanks to Umineko no Naku Koro Ni and the lol pronunciation of “Beatrice” in the anime.

Seeing the server up is quite rare though, since I’m not around at mornings and paying for the power bill with the help of a 24-7 server is not a funny thought. Uptime would be around 8:00 PM – 1:00 AM (although I will keep it up until 6:00 AM if someone’s downloading beforehand) @ GMT +8

The title says it all. I’ve set up a bunch of links that are very useful to refer to whenever a new season is coming up. This will cover everything, from how to know what’’s airing, where to get it and how to watch it. Oh and yes, this is fit for beginners.

Read more for the whole thing.

P.S. Ain’t done with the whole guide, but I already posted the links you’d be interested in, especially if you know what you’re doing.

All thanks to that 09/09/09 fuzz made by Apple, I was convinced to try out iTunes 9 for use on my iPod touch and guess what, they actually managed to make iTunes Windows 7 compatible!

Finally.

Although, what amazed me was this:

iTunes showing its preview box via Windows 7's implementation.

iTunes showing its preview box via Windows 7's implementation.

Yep, that’s right, they even managed to implement the playback controls in the preview window (like WMP12 does it) and preview what’s currently playing with the helpful caption. iTunes is probably one of the first few to try this. (please disprove me, comment.)

To add, this is a Windows 7 exclusive feature, the idea of Apple devs nosing around with the API for it seemed hard to believe. I guess they were trying to mimic how iTunes behaves in Mac (they did this before through the system tray) by adding this bit of functionality.

Not bad, Apple. I might just start praising you.

Or not. I still cringe at those price tags and the UI I could never get used to; in OSX.
Windows still knows how to spell the word “productivity” better than OSX. (in b4 flames in the comments.) /rant

2 5 7 minute post in 3… 2… 1… go. (sheesh, I have to go somewhere and I’m a bit late.)

Valve just pulled off something not-so-extreme. Seems that they removed items that were gained through idling via means of some program and Valve is currently taking in a small backlash from the community of idlers.

Seriously, I think that the idlers really haven’t much of an argument here. If you’ve truly lost legitimate items (take note, you did not DELETE your legit ones and replaced them with your newly gained idled items) then you win this one.

Valve only stripped you of items which you wouldn’t have owned in the first place.

And for the whole “they have a halo, and I don’t” envy, It’s pretty much the same as “I have a cool hat and you don’t because I idled a lot” statement that you guys love to use.

…..

I need to spellcheck and see the grammar on this later.

See this for yourself and guess what’s missing?

That’s right, Saya no Uta, Chaos;head and other Nitro+ related games are now missing.  and the reason why is:

“Support JAST USA’s official localizations of Nitro+ games”

Anyway, as a preventive measure from any legal issues, you could say that TLWiki has now removed all Nitro+ translation patches from the site, that means… everything that was made so far. So much for all the time spent on translating, editing and hacking each of the games.

In other words, no more English patches. It’s happened before, live with it. Honestly, it sucks, but whatever.

Honestly, I had hoped that Chaos;head was at least spared (it was barely Nitro+) but I guess that’s a no.

God, I swear, I hate it when people argue over shit that causes a damn flamewar.

Well, the more I get bored, the more I do random stuff. This one is a byproduct of such boredom. Well, sure, I did loads of random stuff back then, but I never had the motivation to upload it. Mostly to the fact that it’s either silly or personal.

That aside, I made some K-ON! iPod touch / iPhone themes for everyone.

Not much to say, just a simple update for my own self.

So, holy week’s coming, plus hell week with college finals, and then heaven which is the usual summer break (OJT perhaps? maybe not, I’ll dive in at xcode+iPod development for now).

Speaking of xcode, I’ll probably spend my time at summer learning Cocoa development and Objective-C. I’ll be honest at the fact that the iPod touch is actually a great (if not, then interesting) gadget to play with, at least, it’s the only one I have right now that’s equipped with decent hardware.

Whee.

Yeah, I just gave the OSX Tiger a shot through Hackintosh, a method of putting said OS to an unauthorized machine (“PC”)

So far, it’s not bad as I thought it was. In fact, I’d actually say that it’s great!

It’s not enough for me to shift from Windows to Macs though, for a couple of reasons.

(post will be updated soon.)

Here I go again, ranting against Apple products. This time, I’m against the issues fleeting on the iPod touch and iPhones. Tolerable for most users but not for the others, such as myself.
