I love Umineko (yep, played up to EP4) and I just wanted to share the opening tracks for both the anime and the game. Yes, the anime OP I have here is of full-length.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni OPs

Anime Opening – now that Nipponsei finally released it, get it there. Unless you wanted the old link

Visual Novel Opening

Enjoy.

Got this from someone in /jp/. Anonymous (No. 2723819), obviously.

“All they do is take their CGs and slap some pans and zooms on them. Oh, and don’t forget the wacky transitions. All this to disguise the fact that there’s no actual fucking animation. God, this is fucking embarrassing shit. You could get a 5-year-old with Adobe Premiere to do your VN OPs and it would look exactly the same. The worst thing is that ALL VN OPs are like this. Play some cheesy song, have random PANS and ZOOMS that make no sense, along with BIZARRE CUTS AND TRANSITIONS. A million monkeys with typewriters are all facepalming right now because even they could do a better job. Fucking pans and zooms.”

QFFT.

Honestly though, nearly everybody does this.

Man, I can remember the threads when this was overly discussed. I never imagined it to actually turn to a reality. Anyway, to those who haven’t heard of the hype in the past few days, the people at Four Leaf (wink, wink) Studios just released a trial of their visual novel: Katawa Shoujo!

What makes this visual novel great is that:

  1. It’s actually good, literary wise. I played it myself and it actually rolled out just like any other visual novel out there, with its own twists, interesting parts and anticipation
  2. It’s based off on just a single page. Well, some doujin author made a omake page back then about a bunch of disabled girls with his concept about it. Then everything went ablaze after that.
  3. It’s free, and in English. Hey, it’s one of those original English VNs created that’s actually quite good!

Well, all those points are spiked with my subjective opinion. I suggest you try it yourself.

It’s just a preview though. dubbed Act I. You can get it from their site. http://katawa-shoujo.com/

Real-life stuff made me neglect this blog for oh so long. Leaving it unkempt for such a long time actually made me “oh, whoops”. Anyway, time to clean stuff up.

Next up, stuff about Gamepatch (lol), Chaos;head and well, other stuff.

I just had the time to visit Wasabi toys (Greenhills, San Juan) last Friday and luckily enough, my preorder was already available for purchase.

Which I did.

As for the title, that makes it the third anime/VN product I’ve purchased. First being Melty Blood Act Cadenza and the rest with these two.

Pictures taken from a cellphone camera and an actual digital camera but with a broken LCD screen. What a bummer. -wait- no, not yet cause my Internet still shitsucks and can’t do strikethroughs on an iPod

Impatience got ahead of me again (2 hours left till new year at the time of post). Happy New Year, everyone.

I’ll say two things for now:

– NOTE –

TLWiki has removed all of its translation assets. Obviously, the game patches are no longer available. Sad, really, but let’s just hope that JAST USA actually translates this, bug-free.

Oh, and yeah, the removal was removed on its own accord by the lead members.

Ok, let me clarify first. We have two patches right now, a Stable Patch (this [lol, link removed]) and a Full Patch. The difference is that the Stable Patch is a working patch already, without any critical (e.g. crash to desktop) bugs, but is riddled with a few typos and unedited script. The Full Patch will be the perfected version of the Stable Patch but we still have to wait for it as there are bugs that would sprout here and there while editing the script to a better, refined english.

In other words, if a few typos and dropped lines like

” Hello, I am viewing this

in WordPress”

then this patch is for you. Else? Wait for the full version.

Two things:

1. Chaos;head characters’ blogs here. http://chaos.thewafflehouse.net/

and 2. Chaos;head is now on a Release Candidate stage, that means really really close to it. Only a few weeks now although I’m not one to decide on that (the higher-ups are)
